PROFESSIONAL CAREER

… so far …

Brian started his career as a qualified Electrician in late January 1986 at the end of a 4-year apprenticeship at Nestle in Tongala, Victoria. He was lucky during trying times to win the apprenticeship at Nestle through a strong field of candidates and started it in late January 1982.

6-months after the successful completion of his apprenticeship, Brian’s employment contract ended at Nestle and so he ventured into the great unknown for an exciting journey with many different employers and varied types of electrical work over the last 30+ years.

TRADE LICENSES AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS

Brian has been a licensed “A” Grade Electrician since January 1986 and has added to that qualification over the years; for a time as an electrical contractor in the Bendigo, Central Victoria from 1990-1995. Based in Echuca, Victoria he currently holds both Victorian and NSW Electrician’s licences.

After studying hard in 2017-2018 Brian graduated from the Engineering Institute of Technology as an Associate Electrical Engineer and was awarded graduate of the year 2018 and is now currently studying his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with them.

Personal Life

BRIAN LORD’s PERSONAL LIFE

There’s more to life than working and studying to become an Electrical Engineer, which you forget when you love what you do; but the fact is, there is. Here’s some bits and pieces about Brian’s personal life.

FAMILY

Brian and his family reside in Echuca, Victoria, Australia. He is a family man, and spends most of his free time when not studying, fixing up the “Money Pit” that is “Lord’s Run” with his spouse and dogs. Occasionally they are visited by their parents, adult children (3) and spouses, partners and grand-children: Chelsea and Katie. These are the highlights of the week.

FARM

THE FARM “LORD’S RUN

Lord’s Run is a new venture for Brian & Kim with mainly cows, a couple of goats, a few sheep, wild ducks, lots of Australian Cattle Dogs, a large blue lake and an abundance of rabbits or it should be said …

DAMN WABBITS! (Bugs Bunny reference here.)

Just on the outskirts of Echuca, Lord’s Run is a little piece of paradise; slowly “it’s getting there”. It’s a work in progress.
